
Dock Reconstruction Project – Lake Simcoe, Georgina
Shoreline restoration
This shoreline restoration project involved a complete teardown and rebuild of a failing dock on Lake Simcoe in Georgina, Ontario. The existing structure had suffered from extensive rot, erosion, and structural failure.
Scope of Work:
Demolition & Removal:
The old dock was dismantled, and all rotted timbers and framing materials were cleared from the site.
Material Supply & Delivery:
Pressure-treated 8x8 lumber and galvanized steel were delivered and staged on-site for structural framing.
Shoreline Reinforcement:
Large boulders were placed along the waterline to protect against erosion and stabilize the new dock base.
Structural Framing:
A new retaining wall and platform were framed with pressure-treated lumber and steel channels. Custom notched anchor blocks added strength and precision.
Layout Completion:
Final framing was aligned and secured, ready for decking installation.
